About kat carroll
Today I consider myself a modern yogi. I choose to mostly train outside to stay connected to the earth.
My journey began with in-depth studies into the 8 Fold Path of Asthanga Yoga. Studying at The Hard & The Soft Yoga Institute with Beryl Bender Birch, and Mysore style with Sri K Pattabi Jois in New York.
I have traveled around the world and sat in silence cultivating compassion and awareness. I continued to study with great yoga masters to develop my dynamic style of vinyasa yoga.
My passion for movement together with these studies has elevated my appreciation for alignment, sequencing, and the ability to teach it to others.
Today I consider myself a modern yogi. I choose to mostly train outside to stay connected to the earth. SUP yoga (my favorite), bicycling, hiking, dancing, and long walks in the woods are all a part of it.
Sometimes, I’ll do an intense full practice of ashtanga, power/flow yoga or a gentle yin practice. And, I have a strong meditation and pranayama practice as well.
My practice isn’t just one thing or the other. It changes from day to day and, from year to year as I continue to grow and learn from my teachers.
